So I've never rebuilt a boat yet.. I have 2. One in use, and one I'm considering rebuilding. (It's retired at the moment due to being insecure about the hull/transom/stringers..)
I suppose this is more of a question than offering advice..
I understand you're just looking to replace the flooring (carpet, Nautolex etc...)
But, in your pics, the carpet looks wet, then there is a wet spot in the pic with carpet pulled up..
Also looks like a lot of black around the engine compartment..
Being a newbie, I'd be asking if I had rot in there, and if so, I'd expect it's in my stringers and transom too..
Do you know everything else is solid?
Is it a wrong assumption on my part based on the pics?
Just looking to learn a little..
Here's a pic I made of your pics outlining what I'm talking about..
Red circle is wet spot in both, and arrow points to black I'd think was rot/mold..
Again, just looking to learn something, so if this is not an issue, then what is it, and why is it normal?
Thanks for indulging!
