Hey gang. New to the site and have a question. I have a 1998 Crownline 182, which I have owned for over 2 years. I want to get the back seats redone, few minor tears. I can't figure out how to remove the back bench seats. I thought they would slide right out, however, when I get them to the point they lay flat, something catches not allowing them to be pulled out further. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1998 Crownline 182

would love to have that PM! I have a 98 180BR and can't get anywhere removing the back of the bench seat. I would love to do some deep cleaning in the engine room, clean up some pulleys, etc, but the thought of working upside down and behind has got me wondering how much I will actually get done....any help would be greatly appreciated. Have the super sport seating package.

Mark,

I'm not certain about the 180, but the rear bench seat on the 202, 225 models would tip forward giving you more access to the engine. With the engine cover/sun deck raised, grab the board which the rear bench seat back cushions rest against near the center. Pull the board up and forward. The seat entire seat should tip forward as it is hinged along the front edge of the base of the seat. I suspect the 180 will be the same as the 202/225.
