1998 johnson ocean runner 200hp j200txecm
At low idle , hot or cold the engine will run for a minute then stall without pumping the bulb. The bulb will not be firm at first, but gets firm after pumping (sounds terrible) and the engine runs for a minute then repeated.
engine runs fine when throttled up.
hot or cold acts the same.

I would begin with an inspection of your fuel system from the pump to inside ( pick-up tube ) the tank.----Also the anti syphon valve if equipped with that.-----Or test run the motor on a known to be good portable 6 gallon tank and hose.

Look for a small air leak into the fuel line. Are your running premix fuel or using the oil injection system?
