I have the Volvo 5.0. I’ll check the back of the motor. There is no pickup foot for a pitot but it may be on the foot. On another subject, The transducer on the back is broken at the hinge. Is there a replacement transducer for these?
Also, here is what’s at the console. I do not believe this is a pitot speedometer please see attached pictures. Anyone have a clue?
I think your transducer would be similar to this. Notice the paddle wheel on the transducer that generates an electrical signal to the gauge.
That was just one I picked up off the net to display. The one you would need depends on the make and model of your gauge. I would first check that the wheel on yours is free to spin. If it is I would next power the gauge and spin the wheel with a finger and check if the gauge show any thing. On mine I can snap it with my finger and spin it fast enough to register up to about 3 mph.
The wheel is gone and the transducer is hanging since the bracket broke. Like there’s no way of fixing the broke piece unless someone knows of a glue that works better than the plastic itself.
That signals the start of the computer game called finding a part for 20 year old electronic item. You are going to have to find the make and model as the transducers are not universal. A picture of the gauge along with any number and/or text printed on the side or back of the gauge might help narrow you search if someone on the forum has the same one.

Paddle wheel speedometers are notoriously inaccurate and went the way of the dinosaur when GPS speedometers went main stream 20 years ago.
True, but I’d like to find one that fits the current system. I believe I have I need to call Airmar and ask them directly. P23-VDO-2000 looks exactly like the broken one that is hanging from the back of my boat without the speedometer wheel. I’ll post if this works if I ever get a chance to talk with them.
Are you sure that assembly went to the speedometer?
