Re: 19xx Kobra 12ft. transom/stringer/floor restoration.
Small update.
This week I painted the outside transom and splashwell connecting to the transom.
First it all got two layers of epoxy primer, then above the water line it got two layers of 2k polyurethane and below the water line another two layers of epoxy primer, all layers had 1 day to cure before the next layer was applied.
Also I got the seats finished (didn't go as well as I had hoped, they'll probably be re-done over the winter) and new steering system mounted and control box.
Next up I need to spray the purplish colour to the splashwell to match the top, mount the engine and cables.
Test ride planned for next weekend.
Above waterline 2 layers of epoxy primer followed by 2 layers of 2k polyurethane, below waterline 4 layers of epoxy primer (black bottom paint will go over it later, when its had some more curing time).
Almost ready 2 go, test ride planned for next weekend.
