Un real fellas! I was supposed to have my boat hauled this weekend to have my bottom and drives cleaned, new impellers and hoses installed. Not going to happen now! Next week looks awesome though!

Hey Guys,

I have some good storm tracker software, that has been pretty accurate for here in the NE. I just looked at it, and found this:

Aug 29 (Saturday) @ approx 8:00 pm TS Danny should be about 100 mi east of Montauk (40.7 N , 70.7 W ) winds up to 45 mph, 33 mph ground speed.

Just added:

by Aug 30 (Sun) @ 2:00 am should be in the Gulf of Maine, and by 8:00 am it should by over Nova Scotia with the same wind speeds, but slowed down to 29 mph ground speed.

Took the Bayliner out today with my brother. We went around the Peconic Bays, and around Shelter Island. Was cool, raining, and a little choppy. Tomorrow its supposed to rain hard, and Sunday will be nice again.

I am having trouble getting internet connection here. Have to jump on a neighbors open wireless network, so things are hit and miss.

Will try to do 3 mile harbor Sunday, if anyone wants to go. just look for my hard top and come on over!

I never got the shirts b/c no one other than Mark42 replied to go. I was planning on ordering at least a dozen hoping a few boats would go. Too last minute. Next years will be great! I am out just about everyday on my boar so if anyone wants to get together on the seas on the LI sound somewhere let me know.

So, did any of you guys manage to hook up at all? I know that the weater was supposed to be bad but then I think it cleared up? Didn't know what happened.

I'm back in NJ now. Didn't head out to LI for the weekend. Figured it would be just too much traffic.

my preference would be closer to the southern end of LI or mid Hudson, somewhere safe and accessible to all by boat, this years location was a 4 hr drive for many not living out on the island.

Yeah it would have been a couple hour trip for me as well. However, I heard it's worth it!

I guess we should have everyone start naming some locals they would prefer then maybe we can pinpoint a good local more central for everyone.

Well guys heres the deal w/ me. I just bought a new boat and will be keeping it on the Peconic. I hope to hit 3 Mile Harbor and Greenport before the season ends. Maybe we can try 3 Mile Harbor as next years destination again? I will scope things out and post results. if anyone else is on the Peconic or nearby please let us know. I would love to do it right next year and I am already very much looking forward to it!!

Nogin ---What no pictures of the new baby yet???
I can make 3 mile on a good day but will be a 3.5- 4 hr trip . If it moves I would have be looking at other options / or not going / get a bigger boat

I have pics just need to get them posted! I am hoping to go to Greenport of maybe even Sag Harbor/3 Mile Harbor this weekend if the weather cooperates. I haven't left the Peconic River yet but that's what this weekend is for!!
