Just rebuild the engine, rebuilt carb and converted to petrotonix electronic ignition with flame thrower coil. I have a hesitation if i throttle to quick and then at top end there is a miss that occasional happens sporadically. I know when I first put the petronix ignition on it wouldn't run at top end at all cause I had the pick up for the distributor wired in on the coil which had the 6 volt resistor wire coming off the solenoid. I wired the distributor up to a 12 V power source and helped dramatically except for this issue. I still have the coil wired up to the 6V resistor wire and I think my problem is the coil needs the 12V but I am afraid if I put 12V on it then it might be too much for the ESA. I did the fix for the ESA with the diodes and resistors, will this keep the ESA from burning up?
