Lot of good info here - for anyone. On the waterglide, I attached a really interesting blog on how a couple of guys went through the process - Not sure I am as dedicated as these two guys are, but it was quite informative.

Make sure you read what tunedude and limulus wrote - that is the meat of the thread.

Re: 20' Pontoon with 75 hp

So we have a OLD 1980 19' Harris FloteBote that has a 79' Chrysler 75hp motor on it. I'm looking for a replacement prop and will keep the one on it as a spare. The one on it is a 13x14 18 spline prop. I can't find an exact replacement one for it. I called Michigan Wheel and they don't have anything listed for it. I've searched the web and came across a 13x15. Will this pitch make much of a difference in the performance? I don't have a tach on the boat but last summer on the lake at WOT it would run 30-31mph(at least that's what the speedo said).

Welcome,
Its better to create your own post But here goes.Unless there is something really special about your toon you will never see 30.more likely 18-21.
If it seems to work well with the 14 I would stick with the 14.You may be able to get the 15 repitched to 14.Now is the time to get it right. If you get a tach, Tinytach is reasonable and easy to install.Or perhaps you could borrow a shop tach.If you get your rpm at max speed you can figure better if your prop is right then select a replacement.A 4 blade pontoon prop is best though your not likely to find one for your Chrysler.
