I have an aqua sport bow rider with a 25 inch transom. I bought a 200 hp Johnson 90° motor (J200VLSIF) with a 20 inch leg on it, which I want to mount on my 25 inch transom.

I’m hoping to pick up a 25 inch midsection and outdrive to put on the 200 horse Johnson.

I found a guy who is selling at 200 horse FICHT (E200FPXSSH) with a blown power head. That seems to happen a lot! 😜

So I’ve done a little online research and talked to the seller and we both think the 200 HP 90° block will go right onto the 25 inch midsection and outdrive from the 200 horse FITCH.

Is there something more I need to know? Does this sound workable?

The guy wants to sell the motor whole, so I guess I will have an extra trim tilt and a dead FITCH power head when I’m done. He wants $500 for the whole thing.

Gee, what happened to the carb Johnny 150HPV6 you had?
Heh... you got a good memory! I kinda got tired of messing around with it! This powerhead is newer and in better shape. I'll still try to get it running and re-sell it, or I'll put it on another hull.

look up the part number for the base gasket on both motors , if the gasket is the same there is a good chance that the power head will fit.

So the lower unit came of easy. Steering swivel too. But the exhaust housing seems to be stuck on there pretty good. I have removed all six of the long 3/8 bolts and six 1/4-20s. Smacked it a bunch of times with a plastic dead blow mallet. No luck. Any tips on getting it loose?
