If I ground the tan wire, on the engine side, of the 4 wire VRO2 with the key on, for "no oil", should it sound the alarm?
Both temperature switches sounded the alarm, and the fuel vacuum switch did as well. Should I get something by grounding the VRO2 tan wire?

The wire color of the no-oil alarm is tan/yellow, on my '98 Johnny 150HPV6. The service manual directs that that wire be grounded and the ign turned on to test the "No Oil" alarm. Expect to see the No oil light, but no alarm, as the motor is in a diagnostic mode.

Thanks,

I don't have the systems check gauge, I just have the 176349 wiring harness that is non-system check. You get audible alarms, no gauge no lights. I guess I would need 176345 harness for the 8 pin connector for the gauge. Anyways, I guess for me grounding that tan wire wont chirp the alarm. I guess I should run a premix, then check the "no oil alarm" by disconnecting the oil inlet hose wait for the alarm, bleed hose and reconnect, and see if it goes away?

Or you could pull the tan/yellow wire out of the OMS connector, ground it, reconnect the balance of the wires to the OMS and run the motor. That should fool the motor into thinking you have no oil.
