2000 Crownline 192 BR worth it?

It's time for a little bit bigger/newer boat. We're looking at a 2000 Crownline 192 BR, and I'm interested in opinions on quality and reliability, and also anything in particular to look out for other than soft floor/transom/compression, etc.

The one I'm looked at only has 77 hours on it. One owner. Professionally winterized 5 years ago and stored. The seller has it down at a local boat shop now to be unwinterized and started. It's a bit pricy, but not ridiculous.

thanks

11 years old with only 77 hours on it - check the engine really well for leaks and have them run a compression check on it after they run it for a bit. Low hours/miles on engines are not always a good thing.

Hours as low as they are has been one of my concerns. On the good side the shop the seller took it to is the same shop I've bought engines & parts for several years so I trust they'll check it thoroughly.

Quality is second to none, if it checks out good and the price is reasonable its worth it, Crownies in good shape draw a little bit more very well built boat

But I am biased, and on my second Crownline

Hello--I have a 2004 192 BR 454. This is my second Crownline. They are well built boats and high quality. I would suggest a good marine mechanic to look over the motor for old dried out gasgits look over the trailor . But you should more than happy with this boat. If you have any other concerns, post away!!! Crownline owner for life

How much is it? The same model and year is on Minneapolis Craigs List right now. I think it is overpriced and there is no snap out carpet which means it would be a deal killer for me. Generally speaking CL's are more sporty than luxury and yes the snap out carpet is a rarity on the early 2000's smaller bowrider models. I think they are amongst a few brands that were ahead of their time and wouldn't hesitate to buy a nice one with the right options.

They are asking $8999 for it. NADA shows it at $7040 w/o options so the price is a bit high, but not out there. Thanks for all the replies so far.

Well here it is, good motor fuel efficient and a decent drive, its not the race model like BARKLEY has but then again who puts a 454 in a 19' boat? NADA is BS but in my honest opinion if you like the boat, it is in as good a shape as the 77 hours would indicate I would jump on it before someone else does it will not last long provided its in very good shape, the problem is we don't know. I paid a premium for mine same year with alot more hours but it looked like it came off the showroom floor. You have to make your own call there I do not think it is overpriced in the least in fact I think for a great boat with 77 hours and in great shape I think your getting a steal. All we need to know is what shape its in....

Tried to talk the seller down. Their response was no nicks, dings, scratches anywhere, 77.5 hours, at the shop having it checked over. No, the price is firm.

Here is the boat for sale in Minneapolis right now. It has a v8 with seemingly mismatched hp for that age of v8 but is a nice upgrade but it's $15,000. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/boa/2379458196.html

2000 Crownline 192BR - $15000 (Champlin)

2000 Crowline 192 BR 19 foot bowrirder
265HP 5.0 Mercruiser engine with Alpha One outdrive
Much desired and rare Spinel Wine and Moonrock paint
Stereo system with 4 speakers and JL Audio amplifier
Bimini Top
Matching covers
Custom Crownline Prestige trailer
Dash-switchable transom-exit "Captain's Call" exhaust option sounds amazing and adds top-end horsepower at the touch of a button. Click it on and the exhaust re-routes directly out the back of the boat.
2 props included
Life vests for the maximum number of passengers included
Dual switched batteries so you never get stuck with a dead battery
The boat has always been well maintained and professionally winterized every season.

This is the perfect boat to start your family out in boating.

I will be happy to start up the engine at home on the muffs. If you want it in the water, it will be a $100 non-refundable deposit and I live just a couple miles from a Mississippi ramp. I'm not taking tire kickers for joy rides here.
