2003 df70 suzuki high speed shut down

I need help with my 2003 DF70 Suzuki. At top speeds the engine will shut down with one short audible warning tone. The engine will then crank but not fire. Following a few cycles cranking another short audible tone and then the engine will fire. Could this be an engine temp problem? I have a strong telltale but I am wondering if the water intakes might have too much algae build up?

Sounds like loose wiring connection. Check engine light come on? Overheat should only reduce rpms. You ever service the engine?
