Where is the best place to connect the remote fuel tank on these 5.0 MPI ECT's when winterizing the combustion/fuel system ?
I noticed when following the fuel line starting at the fuel rail right behind the throttle body on the port side, that there is 2 metal lines coming off the fuel rail where the fuel hose connects to one line, and the other is plugged .

I attached a picture. The upper line has the fuel hose connected to it and the lower one is plugged. The lower one also has a foam sleeve on it that I removed for the photo.
Can the plug be removed on the lower line and connect the remote fuel hose to it?

The connection has to be before the fuel pump, between the main tank and fuel pump, or the motor won't run.

Pull the hose from tank into filter off at filter inlet. Attach the remote tank hose there.
I've been having the same thoughts and wondering if I should fit T or Y N/R piece here with an outboard bayonet fitting. Just for future use every winter.
Not sure if I'm asking for trouble there though.

I detach the fuel line (hose) that leads from the tank to the water separator/filter, detaching it at the fitting to the water separator housing. As stated, upstream of the fuel pump, pressure pump and fuel rails.
