Here we go Starmadians!

20151202_175500.jpg

It?s time we get nominations underway for this year?s Starcraft Splash Of The Year Award (SOTY) for Starcraft vessels declared as officially ?Splashed? back into the water after significant refits, renovations, modifications, etc. All iboats Website members are invited to nominate their favorite Starcraft boat reported by their owners as having been splashed in 2015. I don't think it will be an issue this year but a maximum of 10 nominations will be accepted.

Please post your nominations in this thread and paste a link to the owner?s rebuild thread. Please don?t include pictures in this nominations thread. I will contact each of the nominees by Private Message to confirm that they wish to be entered in the award contest. I will add their info by updating this top-of-the-page post. Nominations up to a maximum of 10 will be accepted until midnight EST Jan 5, 2016. Please don?t be afraid to nominate your own project.

After January 5 2016, a new voting thread will be created that will show all nominees and a link to their rebuild thread for your review. As in past years, I expect that 1 or 2 pictures of each entry will be included in the voting thread, usually a before and after shot. You will be permitted one vote for your favorite Starcraft boat that was splashed in 2015. Voting will end at midnight EST January 15, 2016.

Nominations accepted:

Its getting down to the end, if you're close, get 'er done and get 'er splashed fellas.

Until 2015 is over, you can still finish, splash and make the nomination list.

Good luck to all.

Hey! My Kingfisher is a 1976 model!

But please don't include it for SOTY... it's not worthy, or even done... YET! Maybe in a few years. :D

Osby just so I know are you nominating any particular build in that line up? ;)

Also something makes me think that another SC was splashed in the resto forum this year too but I can't for the life of me find it or remember exactly who, it sucks getting old I guess. :noidea:

I tried to keep track of them and even what might be considered a slow year compared to last year, it wasn't easy.

Did budski throw one in the water early this year?

I wonder if that sensitive dude with the Boat-tisserie & Diesel-powered Inboard ever splashed? :noidea: That was one of the craziest rebuilds I've seen...and I think he had the skills to pull it off...shame he didn't stick around.

No, somewhere in Seattle it was stolen. Possibly while he was moving

Nope. Took his pix and the rest of his build elsewhere, but posted a request to be notified if anyone saw it on Craigs

On the SOTY list, bob johnson dropped his in the water, and continues to work on it, but as of now, not really a Splash. Yet.

He's got about 4wks left to 'finish'...

you can't make this stuff up!

It was a shame to hear it was stolen. I even tried googling him and his build since he left to see updates. couldnt find anything on it. That was a real cool one to follow. It was too bad he left this forum unfinished. I really hope for his sake he gets it back.

I agree. He had some really cool, innovative, never before seen ideas going on. I can't believe that after all that and the minor drama here that somebody jacked it on him. I wonder what it was doing in Seattle? We'll never know.
