Since my wife any i got together about 19 years ago im guessing we have quarter million in boating things. Not just boats but all that goes with it. While it would be nice to have that compounded money in or retirement accounts I would not trade the time we had with ourselves, kids and friends we never would have met if we hadn't.
We were lucky, we could afford it but I also remember dad and mom taking us to the Willamette and just parking on a beach with sandwiches for the day. Spend what you can afford and enjoy all of it. We all die at the end of the play....
