Just a quick question for everyone. Since my decking is epoxy covered do I stick with an epoxy based product? I'm not sure what will stick anymore...

Where did you get the epoxy deck coating, and why did you choose that over oil based paint?

I used Durabak on my Starchief, and it really turned out nice, but the SkiChamp has a sand in paint type floor, and I will probably restore it with play sand layed down with my wife's flour sifter and (what else :DRustoleum:D)

Hi Everyone. I was exactly where you all ere this time last year looking for a no skid product for my Islander. I redid the entire floor (cuddy and all) sealed bottom and sides w/ resin (2 coats) lightly sanded w/ 120 grit primed w/ 2 coats of water based primer (has to be water based or it won't stick). Then 2 coats of Overtons light grey non skid. I can attest to its durability as it has withstood over 650 hours of fishing. We weren't nice to this floor either. I typically fish only in sandals and never slid around even in pouring rain and 5-6' waves. Seems like it would be easy to touch up (clean the area, scuff up material and overlap old and new)

Take that back, I did fall once. Fishing Lake Michigan out of Ludington. I was fighting a fish, so was my buddy. He didn't put his last fish right in the cooler, I stepped on its tail and damned near ended up in the weater

We finished installing the two other beneath the deck boxes and the rest of the deck. We also put on the first coat of white paint on the deck. The project is on hold for now. It is raining real bad down here and everything is wet. Will continue in a couple of weeks.
