Sorry, I've been busy with work/family and Holiday stuff. I got some rough sketches down only so far, nothing I really want anyone to see just yet. I Honestly wont be working on this for a few weeks with the holidays coming up. I have 4 small crew (children) that require a lot of attention, and we are going to Disney at the end of the month so our plates are full with Christmas and vacation prep ATM.

Be patient, I'll be jumping back on the band wagon soon.

Didn't forget about you. there was a major snafu in the project. Late Oct bad snow storm hit
Specifically a tree falling onto the boat and destroying the hull.

The boat was being stored at my grandfathers place up in Mass. They had a freak snow/ice storm up there a spell back and hundreds of limbs and trees were downed. I didnt find out till December as the place is not used in the winter and the boat was up there in storage. Went up there in Dec to find a tree had fallen and a large part of the trunk hit the side and completely destroyed the hull. Was cut up along with tree and disposed of.

Now I am in search of a new boat. been looking for a penn yan. Will keep you guys posted.

I know it might be a bit far for you but craigslist charleston sc nice pen 23 rfor sale all it needs is chev motor looked at it myself.Well worth doing in my eyes but check it out,see what you think.

Found a 74 Penn yan avenger 23' flybridge that we will be looking at to purchase this winter. Wont be doing any extensive remodel, just fixing what needs fixing and enjoying spending time with my sons working on it.

Deal struck. Will be taking delivery of a new to me 1973 Penn Yan 23' tunnel drive avenger. 350 merc cruiser in great shape. Just needs some minor aesthetic repairs.

Will start a separate thread as soon as she's in my possession.

Reading Sasto's thread on his Penn Yan is what motivated me to look at Penn Yans, also found a great forums on pennyanbbs.org for all things Penn Yan as well. Once I was better informed as to the capabilities of these boats, it became quite clear that this type of boat perfectly fit the type of boating we do.
