Re: 29' Carter Safari
well, unfortunatly it will not be done for july first, but we are going to try to get it done as soon as possible. Its all the finiky tiny tasks now, all of which take a fair amount of time, with very little payoff.. water line, fuel line, throttle shift cable replacement, some last wiring, drilling holes for the engine mounts(fun task getting back to them), cleaning up legs(yeah, i know i started it last winter, but its been put on hold), preping the bottom for new bottom paint, making some new alternator brackets(the ones from the engines would not work) and replacing all the window seals in the cabin.
Spence, Welcome to the club! Its a very small group of us, if you read back in this thread a ways you will find some more info on the boats... Also, i think i have already talked to the previous owner of your boat because your avatar looks very familiar........ 'Sally Kay' ?
wonder how many others are out there still? i have about 25 people that i have made contact with who have the same boat.... including the original volvo shop that installed the legs, and a good friend of John Carter. I have sent an email to John aswell, but have not got a reply...
Car is actually making more progress then the boat ATM.... got the new engine in and just waiting on some last parts before i can start it up..
Afubar, we used 2x4 and 2x6 and just some good 3 inch nails in our blocks, more pictures here...

I host all the pictures myself, and it seems that someone keeps hacking my site and adding code to the page that loads the images, i fixed it again now. so probably the pics will load on your thread now aswell...
hopefully we will have some new pics of boat progress soon. I want to make the dash up pretty quick, so i will get some pics of that.
