Re: 29' Carter Safari
well, both engines ran today, not at the same time... but... the starboard engine is still giving me grief, i ran it for about 2-3 minutes without riser cooling after cleaning out the carb. then i shut it down, took the riser off the port engine, and put it on to replace the one i thought was bad, hooked up the riser cooling and it fired up, i started dancing around as the engine was running and cooling properly, my jumping caused my finger to slip off the throttle, and the engine still being fairly cold stalled.....
went to start it again... click.........
hydro locked again

, pulled the plugs, all were dry except for cylinder 2(directly below riser) was full of water....
im going to try again tomorrow, i have put food coloring in the closed system, so we will see what that brings...
the odds of the riser i pulled of the port side going bad over the winter is slim...... otherwise its tear down time, hopefully only head gasket, and not cracked block
