I have a 1983 2hp Evinrude outboard (E2RCTD). It was running beautifully 2 weeks ago. I took it out this afternoon to turn it over and check it was running okay for this weekend. It failed to start. On checking the spark plug, it was only sparking occasionally. I checked the points and everything seemed to be okay. On putting the motor back together again, it started and ran with no problems. It now seems to have developed the same problem again. I have replaced the spark plug with no effect. Where should I start? Is it worth replacing the condensor? New HT lead? Many Thanks in advance.
