To me a 3.55 axle is on the the light side of what should be in a full size truck. I use a 4.10 to pull my 22ft boat (est. 5000 lbs w/ gear and gas)

I agree. I am not a race car driver. If my truck can cruise at 70 mph I am happy. If my truck and trailer can travel uphill without swapping gear back and forth at 57 mph I am extremely happy.
