take starter off and check flywheel to see where it is hitting if it is only one spot then you may have the flywheel tightened down wrong it may have hung on the pin and not flattened out on the crank, i dont know about if GM did, but some have a shim that goes on first then the flywheel, if yours did have that shim and you didnt see it and didnt put it back then it would hit also
