i measured the bore size on the cylinders and they all measured 4.365" the standard size is 4.360" that's not much wear even the cam was in excellent shape even were the water seals slide on. my question is the compression was very good 145,150,145,130 number 4 is low so replace head gasket and the rings but since there was not very much wear on the cylinders i was thinking of just honing out the cylinders and replace the rings with standard size rings what does everybody think of that?

That will work just fine! Buy a set for a 460 Ford and you will have enough left over for another engine! Rod bearings are also 460, and I would replace them while you have them out.

...or you could purchase a set of 0.010 oversized rings and file-fit for better butt clearances and ever so slightly higher compression.

file fit meaning file the ends of the rings where they are open

A .010 o.s. ring for a half thousands wear ???? I would stick to the standard .My opinion
