470 to 4.3 v6 wiring

Iam sure this has been asked before, swaping out a 1982 470 to a 1996 4.3 v6 ,with ele. fuel pump,carb., complete swap, motor to prop.
Will the main wire harness from dash work,main plug on motor?

You should just pull the harness from your donor boat and use it. I saw in your other post you have a running donor.

Ayuh,.... If the cannon plug has the same number of pins, it should work just fine,....

I have a 1982 470, and it uses the round 9 pin connector at the engine, and the standard 8 pin rectangular connector at the cabin wiring harness at the other end.

All the diagrams I've looked at indicate you should have a 10 pin connector, so the answer to the question should be 'yes'....
