Hmmmm was supposed to be a video. Here's the link. Still not running yet, when I replaced the impeller I saw I needed an o ring.

Generally you can ignore the error msg when posting, just click OK to close the error msg. Then hit F5 and the webpage will refresh and your reply is likely posted, regardless of whatever the error msg said. Another less then excellent problem since the upgrade. But manageable, same as the pix posting problem is.

Video played fine. not sure why 1 of your posts shows the video link, and the other doesn't but you can always flag your own posts when you notice a duplicate, and in the reason to flag window, just put DUPLICATE POST. The same if you start a new Topic and get 2 instead of just 1. Report the duplicate to a mod & they'll delete the extra 1. Occasionally, they'll combine them since both Topics may have gotten replies................

The engine runs but seems like it was getting too much fuel. I shut off the gas petcock and she roared to life just before she starved for gas and died.

Come on aboard, there's room! I'm going to need to brush up on timing, or my carb, or something to fix this little kicker. Got me puzzled right now.

I know this string started with my Crestliner, and somehow this project got shoved in the middle all due to the little Johnny. I needed the kicker motor and I found this Coleman 900xs on CL for 200. I offered 100 and when I got there they didn't have the adapter to inflate the thing. So he said he'd sell it for $80 and if it didn't hold air I could bring it back. What the heck, so I did it. As you can see the boat looks ok and holds air. Perfect for the sea trial this weekend to set the high speed jets. I am posting the photos only of the boat in the pool. But I did get the Harbormaster to do a video of it running around in the pool. What a hoot! So now that this motor is ready, I am going to get back into fiberglassing the inside of the hull of the Arabian, ah ur.... should I say Crestliner. :)

Going out to set high speed jets today (in brackish water). Got the aluminum floor to fit and the adapter for inflating it from the boat store. Not ready for the gulf yet. We'll have vids from that escapade posted this evening.

Looks like winter is over down here, time to get back into the floor repair. When I do the raised section of the floor, where the seat bases bolt on to, my intent is to fill the whole area with foam and seal it off instead of leaving it "breath" with an open hole facing aft. What does everyone think about that?

The new deck will stop at about the same place as the old?

Are you using pour in foam to fill below the deck? If you think you'll get full expansion and not leave any air voids, yep, seal it up... No drain plug at the stern, IMO.

Yes, I'm thinking the "step" down is original, and I do want to keep it mostly that way. Are you saying no drain plug in the transom? I dunno bout that. Hmmm, never actually crossed my mind. I thought about raising it up and making the floor level, hmm that's a stumper. I have to use either 1" foam crosscut, and glass it to the floor, then biax it in and surfboard cloth on top and then all the way up the to the gunwale on the inside. Then final coat of epoxy for paint. Then roll 'er over and start the hull exterior. Painting engine parts, and keeping busy until it gets warmer. Ooops forgot about the aluminum rubrail, gotta polish that first!
