i ran into another issue with the engine. jus got it runing since i bought it. i took it out on the lake and the thing ran great. hualed *** for like 5 mins and it locked up real quick. before it locked up it was steaming out the exhuast. and i no water was supose to come out and it was but i guess not enought. it started back up ten mins later n took it to the shore and found a screen in the inlet hole. i took the screen out an it ran great for like 30 mins then did it again. steamed like crazy and locked up. waited like ten mins and drove it back to the dock. kinda lost and need some help again. anything u cuase can tell me about this issue would be awsome. and pls dont tell me to go look at other forums cuase i do that daily. thanks guys.

Check your compression, could be a head gasket issue. Was the impeller changed, do you know the condition if it wasn't?

well i didnt check the compression but being that its really hard to pull and the engine runs great when its cold im guessing the compressiond good. and i changed the impeler before i took it out on the lake.

You need to know the compression is good, overheating a motor can take out a head gasket in no time.

ehh not even that to be real. lol
um. so yur thinking blown head gasket?
im a mechanic at trade but on desiel and gas cars.
i have very little on 2 stroke and marine engines.
my point is, is normaly on a blown head gasket like 90% it wont run good.

I would definetely do the head and exhaust cover. If you don't see anything there, off comes the powerhead. It's not that hard.

In the meantine, re drop the L/U and run a straigtened out coat hanger up the water tube from the pump to the powerhead. That requires no parts.
