Re: Opps Updates
Zopperman My bud says it says mercruiser on it. Its a Chrysler 360 chrysler delivered more marine powerplants than any other back in the day tis too bad the govt made them get out of that business it was the only thing profitable that Chrysler was doing. I belly tank may not be as feasible as in the bow its pretty shallow below the floor would have to custom make a coupld of belly tanks for either side of the keel stringer. Hmm now thats got me thinking about a below the floor storage locker. The more storage the better right?
Oops on the soda bottles yea that was a concern of mine was looseing some structure in the foam by putting in the bottles around the foam. I was going to put in a little foam add the bottles on top and then add more foam. The bouyancy I was talkign about is the emergency bouyancy the foam provides the Bottles would provide more bouyancy than the foam would alone. I have a ton of plastic bottles I have from people who recycle so are rather soft some are fairly firm. I might be able to get away with using the firm ones. I know that once the boat is on plane the foam and bottles will do nothing for the boat except add weight (and structure in regards to the foam). I think I will definitely fill the areas that didnt have foam and were just air before anyways that are below waterline with foam and bottles it cant hurt.
I agree with you she is a sexy boat and I would hate to change that but would love to have some more room for passengers when going tubing or skiing. I could always pull an oops and stretch her 5 feet.
As far as putting a hook in her anyway to tell whether I have done that already besides picking a point sat 5 feet from the boat on each side and checking if its square with the stern from that point by cris crossing to the corners of the stern?
Theres not a lot of questions above, I have researched quite abit before tearing into this thought these stands would be quite good guess I need to rethink that now.
My main questions are on the crazing and will have to get more pictures of that before I can get a good answer. And that question is mainly do I grind it all off, grind out the cracks only, or use a build primer sand primer sand paint over it and hope it lasts. I plan on keeping this old girl another 40 years.
