Hi, just thought i'd post some pics of my 74 SRV 220 that i'm redoing. I seem to have misplaced the first p0ictures i took of her so here's some of what i could find. I'm redoing the stringers and floor this year and doing the transom next year. The old floor was ok but the foam was soaked. The edges of the floor were dry so i left a ledge for the new floor. Stringers are made out of 2 pieces of 1/2" glued together with piece of 3/4" glued on top. They are wraped in 3 layers of 1.5oz fiberglass to seal them up and then tabbed to the hull using 3 layers of 18oz. They are very strong. I then ran 3 other stringers to the other stringers to give it even more support. Originally it had the stringers just sitting the foam not even attached to the hull. The floor i'm using 3/4" sealed with polyurethane and then glued and screwed in place. Then i'll fill the diff in height around the edges and glass them in. Should be very strong. I've also added some in floor storage. I have enough room to store 3 bumpers on each side. What i'm doing is adding little things that i like that i've seen on other boats and incorporating them into mine. Call me sick but this is the most fun i've had working on a project so far. Working with wood and fiberglass seems easier to me than working with steel.
Thanks,
Jeramie
