Ofcourse it depends on your priorities in design, performance, image and the planned use (in- or offshore).<br /><br />Can't help thinking about the running costs. Try a search in this site for 'consumption' or 'mpg'.<br /><br />Looking at the perspective, the invested money and the resale value, I'd check the market for diesel cruisers. If you wan't a sea worthy boat it's harder to get it with a fast boat as hi-speed handling (and the comfort in it) combines bad with rough weather. If you are happy with moderate speed, a semi-planning hull will give a more calm and comfortable ride.
