I finally got it in the water this weekend and ran everything. The new "cooler livewell" works perfectly, the motor ran great, lights good, radio good, bilge pumps working, fish were biting, everything was great....except for the shifting. I just replaced the shift cable as it was seizing up and causing the shift lever asm in the control box to jump gears and get stuck in forward or reverse. I also put in a new shift lever asm. occasionally when I wanted to move to a new spot, I would start up the engine and throw it into forward (or attempt to), but all it would do is rev up. It was not engaging. I would then put it in reverse and it would engage and I would move backwards (as one expects) then try forward again and it would then engage. The same would happen in reverse. Does this sound like I just need to fine tune the cable adjustments? I thought I had it good but might have some excess play in the cable. I haven't taken a good look at it yet since I got back from the lake, but I am headed on vacation with it on Fri and would like to get it figured out by then. Worse case I have to shift it manually (which sux but works, I have been there before). BTW I will post some pics probably tomorrow. It is by no means finished but is functional. No carpet or paint yet. I decided to put in a bench/platform in the back which took away some space on the inside but I am happy with it. I put the livewell in there. I have yet to really do anything in the front as I am unsure what I really want up there, benches like how it was or another platform with a pedestal chair. I used some nice Toro seats for the driver and passenger and they are real nice!
