Thanks Decker!

Tha Admiral had be scrubbing the decks back in port this weekend (paiting the living room)

So boat work was minimal...

I did manage to get this much sanded and buffed..not liking the compounds I bought at that auto place...

Buffing looks mighty fine from here. But I am not nearly as harsh a critic as you'll be, esp since you're up close & seeing it live....

Have a good pending week.

Looking like a shiny new penny!
I completely understand about the compounds...the detail guy at the shop tried some off brand products a while back, and to say they were a disappointment compared to the 3M stuff is an understatement...

Troop, how exactly did you manage to flip your hull? Mine is pretty similar to yours, and I'm trying to figure out how to do it without trashing the hull.

Btw, your project is coming along well, keep up the good work

You have seen the gantry's I built? (second set...much better than the first set) I used the bow eye for one place to lift...for the rear I bolted thick block of plywood I glued together, it bolts to the through holes for the out drive, then put an eye bolt through this down low...reason was to try and split the weight from bottom to top...taking into account the deck and stringers are low and heavy....hope that makes sense..

Here is a pick of the block...I haven't drilled the hole for the eye bolt yet, but it is barely clearing the key hole in the transom above the bottom through bolts that hold it in place

Trooper, what a read! I have spent the past 10-12 days reading the entire thread. Very impressive work and thanks for all of the notation and pictures, some of that will help me with mine. Carry on.

I looked at the gantries that you built, just not the plywood plate. Thanks for the info, I'll give her a go.

The hull is really starting to look great ! How much more polishing do you have left before you can flip her back over ?

Thanks fellas...SP, if i had to guesstimate, i'd say I am a little over 3/4 done...but we can't forget i have quite a few places to add some gel to, so that will knock it down to maybe 5/8 done...weather turning cooler up here too...hoping to get some more gel down before it gets too cool..
