I think it might be a good time to go find an old truck with one of these engines. Salvage what you can from yours and swap it onto the good long motor. Remember to change the head gasket to marine and the core plugs to brass.

Ayuh,... Those motors were never used in automotive applications here in the USA, donno 'bout Down-under...

In Boats, 'n a few industrial apps, such as forklifts, stationary water pumps, 'n the like...

Actually, all of the Hyster forklifts I use and maintain at the scrapyard have this engine. They just throw a propane regulator and evaporator on it, and an LP carb. They are really tough motors, I've had very little trouble out of them, and the oldest has almost 11,000 hours now :)
