I gotta see that stuff in action. I just finished the thread and All of your videos. Absolutely top notch documentation. I love the bilge! I can't wait to get mine started now. I'll be starting an '85 X190 that's totally got to be redone. No thread yet, still gathering photos and know how. Happy rolling, It's gotta be better than glass!

I so want to throw it down tomorrow, but one of my really high end clients is in town (second home) and we just finished a large install for him. So I am pretty much on call this weekend. From what I have read, when you start putting this down, you have to finish it.

I think I have enough time to do this today. I am going to run up to lowes and get some xylene and a 4" paint roller.

Well here we go. I got the Durabak durabakcompany.com yesterday and started the final prep about 1:30 this afternoon. I finished about 7. The flash time between coats was alot longer than expected. That is because the Durabak cures with moisture, and today the humidity in nil. So anyway it is down and looks awesome.

Here are the videos.

Anyone else having trouble with youtube being slow? Like it is always buffering.

And the pictures.

All the supplies.

Nice work dude. Thanks for all the extra time it takes to make the videos to help everyone out. It gives everyone the extra confidence to dig in when they can see things in video.

I'll be doing my deck in Durabak too so this was a dig help to see what the stuff is like before applying it myself :)

Thanks guys. Make sure you leave your garage open the night after you lay it down. Last night the wife and I woke up feeling really sick and woosy and our bedroom (above the garage) was full of the fumes. I had to run down and crack tech garage door so I could let the fumes out.

So here is an update. I went outside to check out the hardness, and I am impressed. I cannot chip it off my mixer at all and the deck it really hard. So I guess we are off to a good start.

Frisco - I wish you only the best! I loved Durabak when it went down too, I thought, this is awesome stuff! Until 2 mos. later when I dropped something and it cut...again, mine was white smooth, so I seriously want to know how your rough holds up.

I want it to work so I can do it again on my new project boat, so keep us posted on its durability.

My concerns with it were never adhesion, just durability.
