Thought this might help, check that all three butterflies open simultaneously, it's best to open air box and actually see that all three open together ! ?

That was my post # 15 link n sync of the carbs is essential at this point and this procedure is only spelled out properly in an OEM shop manual....

Also the fuel pump can be rebuilt with a kit.... They are about $20 or less and available on ebay and I am sure Iboats has them too...

I was concidering a rebuild but I cant get the stupid screws loose. I broke 2 screwdrivers and got the bottom mounting screws off my using an inpact driver.

I also tried the link and sync my what the manual said. Im gonna study it a bit more and try it again.

The butterflies seem to be opening simutaniously but Ill go through it again. Im not going to give up on this but its really got me stumped.

Lync and sync has just as much to do with the carb's to the ignition timing as it does to the individual butterflies opening together.... It's gotta be right or it won't be happy....

JMHO...

Im totally sure you are right. Its just getting everything "Just right" is what is kinda difficult for us novice boat engine repairmen.

:D Guess what boyz.... I got her goin :eek: yup thats right. I think the timing was the biggest problem along with getting carbs alinged and new fuel/tank.

I have another question about my speed. Ill post it in the prop section.

Thankyou very much for the input; Ill be come a boat mechanic if it kills me.
