I'm that guy. yes, it is a good deal if your oem has good threads and have the time to wait.
If you need one yesterday, then the new chinese for $75 off ebay is the only game in town. About 30% of them slow-drip oil from the end plugs. Replace both factory orings with an asa size 015 "hard orings" (hardness rating 90) to fix the drips. Once the drips are fixed the factory defect rate drops to about 10%. You'll notice while replacing the oring that is the wrong size and material. It is like that throughout. Kind of like fixing a warped head by stacking two gaskets. If you have the time to get the oem fixed then it is good to go another 10-20 years. I'd be surprised if the cheap ones made 5 years on a big engine. the metal is too soft and the rubber is very low quality. neither is up to the task of handling 1000psi + trim hydraulics.
