86 60hp merc stumbles off idle, fouls plugs

Does anyone have an exploded view or diagram for the lower unit for this motor?
Finally got it running decent and the lower unit just crapped out today
If anybody has a diagram or a link to one, I'll dance at your wedding!

I would pull both carbs and soak them,rebuild kits are cheap.Its not a difficult job, even for a novice. And ask the local guy what did he do for the cash you forked over.

Thanks crappiejig.
Im in the process of rebuilding the carbs now.
I did notice one thing right off the bat,
the plastic carb synchronizer was broken,
but it was still working(part way at least)
Does anybody know where I can order one?
I can't seem to find one? And they're not included
in any rebuild kit ive seen?

Bummer about that link. Try calling all the dealers in your
area.
Try asking directly for that part # 76076A on this board.
I had the same problem with my 87 60hrs. Cleaning those
carbs did it for me, but that carb part is important!

Yeah, you're close.
Part# 76076A comes up as choke rod.
What i need is Part# 60292A (coupler)
but thanks for the input!
Now does anybody have one?

I did not look any where else. That site also tells you what else its used on.

Found out what happened, either the previous owner(s)
left the very rear nut completely off, or they didn't tighten it,
and it came off.
The result? It put undue stress on the other foot
mounting bolts on either side of the foot, and actually
broke the mounting ear where the threaded stud bolts
through on the shaft!!!
Im wondering now if there is a way to weld the cast
aluminum back together?
There's also something stripped in the foot,
I would really like to have that diagram if anyone
has a copy?
