after replacing the seals & washers in my L/U and running a pressure test i proceeded to put the anode and retainer screws back on the housing when i stripped one and sheared off the another retainer screw in the propeller shaft bearing housing. now as you may be able to tell i need to retap the stripped one and back out the sheared one. now i know the general idea behind doing this but i ask.......SHOULD I??????<br />i've got a 5/16 tap and a 17/64 bit which are the next bolt size up from the one that was there what i don't have it a drill press to drill a plum hole with then again there's already a hole there so would i be able to drill right into the old hole and stay plum??????? or should i have this don't by someone in the know????
