89 Johnson gt150 what is this?

Not sure what this does. Oil has been disconnected and it's being premixed. What's the oil ratio supposed to be for this engine?

That is the primer for cold starting serves the same purpose as a choke.. 50-1 is the fuel mix.

Hoping that's it. I figured it was something my brother did with it. Hesold me the boat and put ui that way said it had to be that way but he didn't know anything .

Having the RED lever of the "Fuel Primer Solenoid" in that position (pointing away from the solenoid) allows fuel to flow constantly to the intake manifold reed valves when you pump the fuel primer bulb and also when the engine is running.

The proper "automatic" position is to have the pointed end turned all the way clockwise so that it is pointing at the other end of that solenoid. In this position, fuel flows to the intake manifold ONLY when you push the key in.... Same function as a electric choke and the way to treat it.

Tell your brother that Red Foreman of "The 70's Show" has something to say to him!
