It doesn't make sense.

Top cyl isn't getting fuel, you swap carbs and it still doesn't get fuel.?

You might be misreading the signs here. Check it.

Crank engine and spray fuel or WD40 into the dry carb, don't run it.
Now look at that plug, should be wet.

You are right it dont make sense.

Already cranked it and sprayed gas into carb on the cylinder that plug is dry on and it did fine, it ran and came out wet, as long as you spray gas in it.

We did find a check valve after taken the reeds out that is in the manifold under the carb that at first dint work, but after spraying carb cleaner in it it started working.
We havent been able to crank it since awaiting on a new set of reeds and gasket to put it back together.

I am going to go ahead and replace the reeds on that cylinder while I have it down this far.

Thanks

Sorry and yes after switching the carbs it STILL does not get gas
which would NORMALLY tell me that the carb cleaning was good:confused:

This is the darnist thing i have ever seen:eek::confused:

While unlikely, there is a chance that the gel seal has deteriorated between the crankcase halves around the #2 cylinder. That would cause that cyl to suck air from that joint, less through the carb. You should be able to spray carb cleaner around that joint and you should be able to detect a leak, both pressure or suction-while cranking.

Assuming that you still have proper compression and spark........

With the carburetor face plate removed so that you can see the carburetor throats, and the engine running, stick two gingers in the throat of the non firing cylinder, acting as a manual choke.

If the above causes the cylinder to start firing and running normal, that would tell me that something is amiss with the carburetor, reed plate, or intake manifold.

Since you have went thru various phases, switching components, tests, etc, I can think of one possible solution as follows.

Years back, there were quite a few 150hp models that were released that had either warped crankcase sealing surfaces or intake manifolds. The cure was to double gasket the intake manifold.

If two gaskets between the intake manifold and crankcase doesn't sure that problem...... beware of the little men in white coats, they'll be looking for you (grin)

Check the fuel distribution manifold its under the carbs single hose in from the pump then splits one to each cyl check the carb in question #2 it may be clog not sending fuel to the carb since u switch carb and experience the same problem , its this hose that delivers fuel to the carb ..
