Hi all I recently rebuilt this motor, and am now having the ideling too high. When Ideling with the muffs on it is about 2000 rpms. Anyone know how to tune this problem?

Tower shaft and throttle linkage. Ok prob. Need to do a link and sink. If you have a clymer force manual it will walk you through the steps. Also you may only need to turn the idle down. This will be a bolt and nut located on the lower end of tower shaft. Loosen nut then turn bolt counter clockwise until idle is around 1100 rpms out of water. It would be best to be in the water and set idle to 700-800 rpms. After doing this you still may need to do a link and sink. To
much to list on here. Let us know what you get after turning idle down and if not fixed then can try and walk you through by the book.

Top of the Force section.First 2 threads. One has a linc and sinc from FrankA.
Idle in gear motor warm 750-800.Anything lower than 750 and it starts to stall when going in gear.
