Hi Force affectionados,
My 1999 120 HP Force is underpowered for my ****ed out 22 Foot Trophy (a lot of extra weight). I need more HP. It currently runs perfectly. When it's time, is it possible to rebuild it with more than a 120 HP? Thanx in advance!!

Probably not. There were 135s back in the 1970s, but other than that they were 120s and 125s. Even if you did squeeze a little more out you probably wouldn't notice it.

Are you sure that's the max Hp for that boat? A lot of 17 footers will hold that motor. The good news is that once you get beyond 20ft, the "requirememt" goes away. You can hang anything on it you want. Of course the hull has to be able to tolerate it, and insurance issues might get sticky if you go over the max. But it isn't illegal once the boat is over 20' (check your state, but those are the USCG rules that most states adopt).

Oh, I just figured out the ****ed. :D (hint ****le = acne.)

Something interesting just crossed my mind ... twins. I don't recall ever seeing twin Forces on anything. You already have the boat and one motor. Is there room for it? They're skinny. Sure would catch some looks. ;)

Thanx for the info. Your correct about the ****, "****le=acne". Max HP on my boat is 175. And I have seen twin 125 forces on a 25 footer.

wow what kinds of 22 footer that will only take 175 HP? you can hops it up definetely, I'm no expert at this but I know it can be done. Increase the size of the combustion chamber and piston etc..
