Forensic help please. With the head on the bench here's what we find. The #1 cylinder connecting rod cap is what blew through the crankcase...mangled and bent nearly inside out, but intact. #1 piston & cylinder head heavily carboned up - no cylinder scoring but the piston walls were pretty well broken broken up below the rings (heat?)...top of the piston intact, just carboned up. No slop in the wrist pin. Remaining cylinders look normal. One crank seal ring (on the affected cylinder) broken, and that's about it. Oil pump fires as it should, so I don't think it was an oiling failure. Any ideas?
