Anyone know where I can get a really BIG plastic lemon? I'd like to mount one on my engine cover and use it at the side of the road to shelter my mailbox.

EDIT: Sorry, no buying or selling here. Try the Thrifties.

Hello DHPMARINE, End of the rope for sure! From the outside it's looking like a crank or connecting rod failure, port side top cylinder...holes blown through the case in two spots. 4th season & just over 400 hrs. Just got it off the boat & will be bench stripping it over the weekend and should have a better idea about what happened. Zero indications of a problem until it let go.

Forensic help please. With the head on the bench here's what we find. The #1 cylinder connecting rod cap is what blew through the crankcase...mangled and bent nearly inside out, but intact. #1 piston & cylinder head heavily carboned up - no cylinder scoring but the piston walls were pretty well broken broken up below the rings (heat?)...top of the piston intact, just carboned up. No slop in the wrist pin. Remaining cylinders look normal. One crank seal ring (on the affected cylinder) broken, and that's about it. Oil pump fires as it should, so I don't think it was an oiling failure. Any ideas?
