99 Johnson 150HP - no spark

I have a 1999 Johnson 150 HP Oceanpro with no spark. When I tried to start this OB after a few weeks of not being in use it would not start but it cranks over just fine. My first thought was fuel but I seem to have fuel everwhere I need to. I then checked for spark and found it had none. I have the factory manual so I did the Total Output test, which showed no spark at all cylinders. Then did the Stop Circuit Test by disconnecting the port side power pack connetor but still no spark. I also did the key switch test which grounded the power pack when switched off but not while the key is in the on position. I did the Power Coil Test, Charge Coil Test and even the Shift Switch Test, which all turned out normal according to the manual. The only one I can't do is the Timing Sensor Test because I don't have the special tester. Is there a way to check the Timing Sensor without this tool? If this sensor goes out should I at least get some kind of spark even if it is out of time? Is it common for these timing sensors to fail without warning? Or, is there somewhere else I should be looking? I have an appointment to take it in next week to the shop but I'm trying to see if there is anything I can do before that time.

Thanks

What are the test numbers for the pack output to the coils, using a peak reading meter?

Re: 99 Johnson 150HP - no spark

Here is an update; After many months, the Johnson dealer diganose that they thought is was the power pack that had failed, so we orded another power pack. The motor starts up fine now and runs great on the water, no problems so far.

This may have also taken care of my intermitten starting problem which seemed like a low battery or defective starter drive dropping out. From what I understand, if one of the cylinders fires but the engine doesn't start during cranking, that can cause the engine to spin faster than the starter drive and allow the drive to drop out (which it should do, if the engine actually started). So, hopefully that problems doesn't come back and so it has not.

Thanks
