Re: A.A,R.P. says DON'T VOTE!

I think the AARP was refering to most of the voters in Florida that couldn't master the voting machines.Hopefully for their sake in the upcoming election that they can remember or be able to read what party it was that they were suppose to support.Let's not cause a brain meltdown by actually expecting them to be aware lest understand the platforms of the opposing candidates. As I recall the democrats layed claim to these supposed disenfranchised voters at the time. The ones that couIdn't make to the polls were being tarred and feathered if my memory serves me.I feel a dangling chad coming on.Might be a profitable venture to invest in magnifying glass companies in the upcoming year.

Now here is a beautiful example of the Limbaugh mindset.
True he did not lie.It did say "Don't vote".
So now we know the headline, our center for advanced conservative studies, can draw its conclusions and start spouting opinion.
Never mind the intended message.that will only muddy the conservative mindset.
12footer thank you for this great example of Limbaughnian logic.

LOL! A truly informed voter is the enemy of any devotee of the center for advanced conservative studies.
Their goal is to have people believe what they wish were true, regardless of the available empirical evidence.

It is at its base, a faith based idealogy.

Ditto. I just don’t care any more. I really don’t. I've come to realize that voting really doesn't matter after all.

Kind of like the path to hell is paved with good intentions sort of thingy?!?

I don’t think it matters how well informed you are. You vote is meaningless in a kingdom run by the courts. Until/unless you (me, all of us) are willing to reign in the judges you can forget about voting, you vote, your rights, your wants and/or desires.

As for the candidates, in 2006 Congress will have been in session for about 100 days. The other 265 are non-working days for the elected congress critters. In any given year, they will spend more time campaigning for re-election than they will doing what they are elected to do.

Those who fail to vote forfeit the right to complain about the outcome.

I think that anyone that collects Social Security should be ineligible to vote.......JK

And there are those who believe only those old enough for Social Security can be trusted enough to vote! Of course they vote their issues, why the hell would they vote for another's issues?

As I recall the democrats layed claim to these supposed disenfranchised voters at the time.

They always lay claim to something after they lose.

Well, Rush is a spokes-mouth for the Republican Party. So, anyone into that new Democrat ideology, follow Rush’s advice and vote Republican. All of the communists will be voting Democrat, as usual, supporting the Communist Party, aka the Democratic Party (same thing).

Rush lost all his direct competition on radio with the hillarious fall of air america. What else do you expect?
The spokes-mouth is attacking the media as always, but now he is not playing-into the hidious, shameless and blatent commercial guilt ploys.. Give MJ Fox hell, Rush!

Would these possibly be the same people in some cases that fought in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam? They laid in on the line, what have you done?

I'm with PW2! Except he forgot fat-thighed, arrogant and deceitful...all descriptors of NYS' favorite junior Senator.

She's hopin' to go 'round again for another term. Why not, NY has neither demanded nor received anything from her.

That is the easy way out with long term dire consequences.

I'm not picking on any one person. I just used that quote as a representative example. This seems to be a growing theme among too many.

The politicians know this. They can cater to those that they know will vote instead of just doing what is right.

Trust me, if the voting percentage went up by 10%, it would scare the he!! out of the politicians.

Voting is a privelege available to so few, in the world. People are dying to get here to have that privelege and we just toss it away. Sad, very sad.

dire consequences.

Respectfully DJ, I think that is a bit of an exaggeration.

I still say that an ignorant vote is just as bad as if not worse than not voting.

DJ, please don't misunderstand me on this one, I agree that voting is often taken for granted as one of our most important rights. I just don't agree that voting for the sake of voting is right either.........
