There is no better place to fish the summer months then here on Cape Ann. The striped bass summer here from May - October, fishing from shore or a boat, boat being the best way to fish. Giant Bluefin Tuna have invaded the area. Football size Giants(100lbs.) have been pushing the surface feeding on mackerel close to shore as well as off shore. There is always the cod and haddock fishing mostly year round which is by boat only. There are three to four species of whales and dolpfins off our coast. When ever going to see the whales it is best to ask the whale watch boat if they are seeing Humpbacks, these will give you great camera photos either breaching or feeding and pick your day, you want it to be sunny not foggy. Week days are best, less crowd.
