Re: Abolish Minimum Wage
I got no furmal edykashun, bet I make a lot more a year than some of the posters here

.
however I have about 9 years of technical training in various fields from machining,to automotive to electronics to marine gas inboard, outboard and stern drive systems.
best I remember no one held the door open for me to get the training, in fact quite often I either had to quit or pay for it myself, I did get 3 years of electronics school at taxpayer expense while making 4.50 an hour with bennies.
ALL my marine schools I paid all transportation, lodging and eating expenses since 93.
in fact I have a volvo school coming up this year and another yamaha school in febuary, IN FREAKING WI.
both will come out of my pocket.
so its not all education, its mostly motivation.
its funny but there are two techs working at a place I work, both are mad at me most the time. they ask a question and I reply with a question.
they say I make them feel stupid.
I say I am gonna make you tell me why you think your diagnoses is correct and show me in the manual.
I wont normally just tell them the answer.
whats even funnier, other than some early jobs in high school and just out of it working at service stations, I have never worked a wally world or fast food service type job.
even in high school I either worked wrecking yards, service stations or auto shops.
I was a senior when working as an apprentice to a journeyman porshe tech at a porshe mazda, audi and VW dealer.
I was apprenticed to the porshe and mazda journeyman.
I got to drive some of the first 928"s in the country, what mutts, a good driver with a 5spd RX-7 would eat it up.
but the winshield type wipers on the headlights were cool

so I will repeat myself.
its mostly a matter of self disciple and self motivation than just a parent paid education.
