Re: Advice about illegal fireworks
Why not load the 50 cal with dummy loads, no projectile, it stills makes the big noise but there's no projectile flying about.
Our county has a ban on fireworks in the city limits. They have fire personel that hang out by the stands and report the license plates of customers that head back into the city in possession.
If they head out to the cotton fields to shoot off the rockets etc then it's ok. Nothing to burn up out there but dirt.
People get through, they take the long way back into town like smugglers. Some of them ran out to the beach, a favorite place to shoot off rockets.
Generally it's safe if the winds from the dunes. This year it was an offshore wind and several thousand acres burnt up.
Multiple rural grass and brush fires happened all over the state due to sloppy planning when firing off rockets.
I generally check the state parks etc and see if there's a burning ban in place. If so then no rockets.
