Wow SBB! Top-notch work from right out of the chute!

I see that the inspiration for your custom open-bow design comes from a StarCraft V5 SS...it doesn't get much better than that!

your brother can put his tin boat on plane with his kicker if he had to...just sayin' :p

In all seriousness, great work! followin' 'till ya splash!

Progress looks great!
It is amazing how little of our cap remains when we decide to re-do the interior, but the pay off is definitely worth it!
Keep up the amazing work!

Thanks Decker. Design is not one of my strong points, but I do know I can't afford to put a bunch of material in the dumpster because of mistakes. That being said it has been slow going!! At the end of the project I want a boat I can use!!! I don't care so much about how long it takes.

I've had to secure the cap back on the hull so the windshield stays straight when attached!

The rub rail has been riveted back on.

I've stuggled to get the new walk through windshield to line up with acceptable gaps.

I've added three layer of 3/4 ply under the windshield to lift it. This seems to work the best.

Getting proper alignment is a major bear to contend with...
Slow and steady, going back and checking and rechecking, making tiny, incremental adjustments are a must...
It definitely gets frustrating and can try your patience...
Just remember, that once you get it perfect, it should stay that way for a very long time, considering what a solid foundation it is being built upon...
Just take your time, walk away when have to, and get it Exactly the way you want it...it will all work out in the end...
Trust me when I tell you, I speak from almost daily experience...trying to get body panels perfectly aligned...in most cases better than the factory ever did...
Have a good one...

Thanks GT! I have always had a great deal of respect for autobody folks, you make it look easy. Truely an ART!
I have spent a great deal of time trying to get this lined up, and make it look exceptable. I've had the windshield on and off quite a few times so far. I think I've about got it. I'm about ready to break it down for the last time and start glassin. However I'm almost out of resin so when it's out I'm done for the season. :D

Last weekend I was able to drill out a drain, since I didn't put it in before. I had to drill it oversize and fill in with peanut butter around the 1-1/2" pvc coupler i cut in half.
