Hello,
I fitted a new tilt motor to my Stringer 400/800 (not sure which, to be honest) today...only to discover, once it was finally down, that the steering is jammed straight ahead
Looking at my manual, I seem to have Tru-Course steering, which seems to consist mostly of cables and pulleys...
Is there anything obvious I can check before I strip the whole thing to pieces and see which bit of it has seized? The manual says there are two lubrication points in the "intermediate housing", which I assume means the mid-section of the leg, but the photo in the manual is so bad, I can't figure out where they mean.
The leg is a '77 Stringer 400 (or 800), but the engine is an '88 GMC originally fitted to a cobra outdrive.
Any help/advice will be much appreciated,
Thanks,
Paul
